At Apricity Contract Packaging, we provide a safe place of employment where individuals can work alongside others during various points of their recovery journey while gaining valuable occupational skills.

Apricity Contract Packaging is peer run and supervisors are understanding of the recovery journey as they are also in recovery. It is easier to grow in confidence and security in a new way of life when working alongside others on their own recovery journey. Employees will witness the possibilities available to them while leading a clean, sober lifestyle.

Apricity offers individual training and vocational rehabilitation opportunities to all of our employees in order to help them move forward with their vocational growth. Training includes the following:

  • Career-readiness classes
  • Life skills, such as budgeting

Apricity Contract Packaging FAQ

Manufacturing work. Working with others in small groups to package and manufacture products for retail.

  • Open and breakdown cases that may be glued or taped.
  • Lift cases weighing between 5 to 15 pounds, multiple times per hour.
  • Fold corrugated trays using mainly hands and wrists.
  • Stand during production periods (50-90-minute work periods with 10-minute breaks between).
  • Stand 10 hours a day, four days a week.
  • Bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and grasping with some resistance (may use gripping/pinching).
  • The above expectations may be required for up to 120 continuous minutes.
  • Neenah Plant - 1st shift, Monday-Thursday 6am-430pm
  • Milwaukee Plant- 1st shift Monday- Thursday 7am-5pm
  • Must be recovering from substance use disorder
  • Have 30 days sober
  • 18 or older
  • Everyone starts in a line worker position.
  • Opportunities for other positions become available for employees who have good attendance and show leadership skills
    • Positions include line leader (key person), forklift drivers, project leaders, quality assurance and baler operator.

Professional AODA Careers

AODA/Mental Health counseling staff bring a wide range of personal experience in substance use disorders and recovery. The combination of education, expertise and empathy are critical components to creating an individualized solution for recovery. House Manager Positions

House Managers are responsible for maintaining oversight of clients in our designated AODA Residential Treatment program locations. Both part and full-time opportunities are available during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift, as well as weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor residents on assigned shift
  • Intervene in crisis situations, reporting to on-call counselor in case of emergency
  • Document and report observations and pertinent information concerning client behaviors, and interactions in the communication log
  • Report and monitor residential medications according to procedures
  • Communicate pertinent resident information to the appropriate clinical staff, families and caseworkers when assigned
  • Answer phones, direct calls and take messages
  • Participate in scheduled staff meetings and in-service activities
  • Perform all duties according to the facility's policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to pass a Caregiver Background Check
  • Must be willing to work weekends

Recovery Coach Positions – ED2RECOVERY +

ED2RECOVERY + Emergency Department patients presenting with opioid or stimulant use are offered to meet with a Recovery Coach (or Peer Support Specialist) who has been down the road of addiction themselves. This program has proven to reduce Emergency Department readmission, engage patients in substance use treatment, and improve engagement overall substance use.
